Further information

The JAHM Curve Data includes more than 2,900 materials, with a particular emphasis on metals and ceramics, and 24,000 sets of temperature-dependent data for elastic modulus, thermal expansion, thermal conductivity, S-N fatigue curves, stress-strain curves, and more. It contains a wider range of materials than many other databases, including data for:

  • organics, hydrocarbons and compounds (fuels, lubricants, air, gases)
  • performance of materials in different states (i.e., solid, liquid, gas)
  • materials used in fuel cells, batteries, electro-ceramics, semi-conductors, optics, thermal barrier coatings, etc.

This data enables users to compare and screen materials performance over a wide range of temperatures and access curve data for simulation.

About the presenters

Dr. Charlie Bream is the Senior Product Manager for CES Selector at Granta Design. After completing his PhD on recycling of thermoset composites at Brunel University, he spent 14 years in industry working on the development of lightweight materials and structures for British Aerospace (Space Systems), Pera International, and NXT before joining Granta in 2007.
