Further information

Many companies are considering replacing metals in their products (e.g., with polymers) to achieve lower costs (both material and processing costs), lower mass, or for product aesthetics or branding. But conventional solutions to this challenge (e.g., ask a supplier, or look up alternatives in a database or handbook) don't explore all available options, and don't give answers specific to the application. About the presenter

Dr. Charlie Bream is the Senior Product Manager for CES Selector at Granta Design. After completing his PhD on recycling of thermoset composites at Brunel University, he spent 14 years in industry working on the development of lightweight materials and structures for British Aerospace (Space Systems), Pera International, and NXT before joining Granta in 2007.
