Accelerating the digitalization of materials knowledge

More engineering enterprises than ever are rolling out programs to “digitalize” their materials information, in order to reduce risk, drive innovation, and save time and cost. GRANTA MI Version 11 accelerates this process, with new features for deploying materials knowledge enterprise-wide, while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and complete traceability. There are enhanced tools for visualization and analysis of test data, managing product risk, and ensuring robust data management workflows. And you can combine your proprietary materials data with the most comprehensive available set of materials reference data, now updated, to create a single 'gold source' for your company. Version 11 is the culmination of upgrades and updates from the past 12 months.

Enable better access to materials

Ensure consistent and accurate material definitions across your company, especially within CAD, CAE, and PLM systems. MI:Enterprise Connect lets you synchronize your GRANTA MI corporate materials data with PLM. Version 2 adds features to support a richer material definition, such as the use of sub-types in Teamcenter and automatic triggering of workflows in the PLM system. MI:Materials Gateway apps for assignment of materials in CAD, CAE, and PLM have also been updated, for example, to enable assignment of multiple materials to parts.   Make it easy for users across the enterprise to access and apply the materials data that they need. MI:Explore is an intuitive web-based app that can be configured for specific user groups and applications, enabling anyone who needs materials data to find it quickly, and use it. The latest version offers faster loading and support for larger datasets. It's now easy to configure MI:Explore via a web interface: no need for an IT ticket! Enable and control the consumption of approved material data across diverse user groups, and help to ensure better quality materials decisions.

Speed up analysis and reduce error with MI:Mat Analyzer. This app enables you to select test data, plot and compare it, and run analyses. The latest version adds standard statistical analyses and enables you to write results back into the GRANTA MI database. With MI:Scripting Toolkit, you can also integrate your own methods with GRANTA MI. Generate data for design or CAE cards for input to simulation, ensuring that they are traceable to their source.   Avoid regulatory risks such as REACH for restricted substances. MI:Restricted Substances provides a fast, efficient system for managing risk associated with your materials and specifications. New features such as batch reports, local tabular data searching, and Excel-to-MI:Viewer copy-and-paste make it easier to generate reports and enable more powerful and flexible queries of the critical data.

GRANTA MI is not just about managing materials data. It helps you to improve and control the processes by which this data is generated, analyzed, managed, and used. In Version 11, an enhanced MI:Workflow app makes key materials management processes faster and better quality. The ability to enforce unique attribute values offers more control, assisting traceability and ensuring data quality. With the MI:Remote Import web app it's now easier for authorized users to get data into the system.   The library of materials reference data available with GRANTA MI has been updated, with the latest versions of trusted references such as CAMPUS Plastics and Stahldat SX steels. Why not take this opportunity to add the latest new data modules to your system? JAHM Curve Data supports simulation and provides high temperature data. UL Yellow Cards are a globally-recognized safety and quality guarantee for plastics.
