Data Partners
ASME
Granta is working with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) to provide data from the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel code, Part IID Materials.

ASM International
ASM International is a strategic partner and shareholder in Granta. Our collaboration includes support for many ASM data products, and the co-development of the ASM Medical Materials database.

ecoinvent
Granta works with ecoinvent to provide key materials indicators and background information for materials and processes within Granta software.
EEF – UK Steel
Granta works with UK Steel (EEF) to provide the electronic version of the Steel Specification Book, covering UK, European and US Steel standards.

Firehole Composites
Granta works with Firehole Technologies Inc. (part of Autodesk) to deliver the Firehole Composites data within the GRANTA MI and GRANTA Selector software environments. The Firehole Composites data is a leading compilation of data on continuous fiber reinforced polymers from manufacturers, testing labs, and research institutions.
IHS
Granta works with IHS to provide access to the ESDU MMDH (Metallic Materials Data Handbook) data—the preeminent European source of design strength data for aerospace engineering, and to SAE surface treatment specifications for use in tacking restricted substance challenges.

MMPDS (formerly MIL-Handbook-5)
Granta is a member of the Industrial Steering Group of the Metallic Materials Properties Development and Standardization (MMPDS). This project maintains the authoritative source of design allowable data for aerospace components. Granta provides access to this data via our GRANTA MI and GRANTA Selector software.
NCAMP
Granta partners with Wichita State University’s (WSU) National Center for Advanced Materials Performance (NCAMP) to provide NCAMP’s comprehensive resource of composite design data and test data within the GRANTA MI software.

NIMS
Granta provides online access to the NIMS creep and fatigue data, supporting energy and processing plant applications. This data represents decades of continuous metals testing from Japan’s prestigious National Institute for Materials Science.
MI-21
Granta materials database technology supports the MI-21 project. Metals Information for the 21st Century (MI-21) is an information service that brings together, online, key data from the comprehensive knowledge bases of the World Metal Index (WMI) and TWI (The Welding Institute). This combination provides a powerful resource for information on metallic materials and consumables used in the manufacturing industry.

Rowan Technology Group
Granta co-develops the Coatings data module with Rowan Technology Group, providing property, application and restricted substance data for coatings.
Senvol
The Senvol Database™, the first and most comprehensive database of Additive Manufacturing materials and machines, is available within GRANTA MI and CES Selector.

Stahlinstitut VDEh
Granta works with Stahlinstitut VDEh to provide the Stahldat SX Register of Steels and Sheet Steel database, providing access to data on the official collection of all registered and European standardized steels within Granta software.
UL Prospector
Granta works with UL to provide the comprehensive Prospector source of property data covering plastic resins from around 400 vendors worldwide (formerly known as IDES) and to the UL Yellow Cards data.
