This set of two case studies uses the 5-step method from Ashby et al., 2015 exploring polymers in sustainable development. The two topics are biopolymers vs. polypropylene and the idea of using plastic instead of paper for books. Each case study examines these ideas in detail, allowing students to explore the topics in a systematic way.
