This booklet contains a set of 2-page summaries of different mechanisms explaining a variety of structure/property interactions in materials. Topics covered include: solid solution strengthening, strain hardening, precipitation and dispersion strengthening, grain size strengthening, toughening, electron scattering, phonon scattering, and domain wall pinning. Schematics and illustrations of atomic interactions are included. These can also be found in the MS&E edition of CES EduPack Structure Science Notes.
