A growing information resource on coatings, their properties, and applications. In the first release, the focus is on restricted substances and the coatings used in aerospace and defense.

Records covering over 140 different coatings (categories include anodize, corrosion inhibitor, conversion coating, electro/electroless plating). Each record provides over 60 attributes of well-referenced technical, restricted substance, substitution, cost, and other information.

What is it used for?

As a reference source for coatings and a tool to support decisions relating to coatings. In particular, it supports strategic decisions on the complex compliance, regulatory, and risk factors surrounding restricted substances.

Where does it come from?

The module is co-developed by ANSYS Granta and Rowan Technology Group—experts on advanced materials and coatings.
