Download Teaching Resources
You can browse freely through our list of teaching materials. Free access is provided to the resources listed, right. Access to other resources is restricted.
To download restricted resources,
you must:
- Be a professor, lecturer, or supporting staff (see separate information for students)
- Have a current annual license for CES EduPack, or a perpetual license with a current annual
maintenance contract
- Have your e-mail address registered with Granta as a qualified user
- Have the associated password
If you need to change or update your license, to register as a qualified user, or to receive a password reminder, please contact us.
CES EduPack resource books & lectures
The standard EduPack resources are organised into six books.
Note: Book 4 allows you to download individual lectures as Powerpoint slide sets.
The 2010 versions of these materials will be available in March.
Book 1: Getting Started with CES EduPack (free access)
An introduction to the facilities offered by CES EduPack. In English, French, German, and Spanish.
Book 2: Material and Process Selection Charts (free access to 4 of 27 charts)
27 standard charts mapping property space for each materials class.
Book 3: Useful Approximate Solutions for Standard Problems
Results for constitutive equations; for the loading of beams, columns and torsion bars; for contact stresses, cracks and other stress concentrations; for pressure vessels, vibrating beams and plates; and for the flow of heat and matter.
Book 4: PowerPoint lectures
18 PowerPoint lectures - can be downloaded as individual PowerPoint files. French and German translations are available for selected lectures.
Book 5 : Projects Using CES EduPack
A variety of projects at different levels of complexity to stimulate the student's interest and create confidence in the software.
Book 6 : Exercises with Worked Solutions
These exercises are designed to develop facility in selecting materials, processes and shape, and in devising hybrid materials when no monolithic material completely meets the design requirements.
