Selection of a material for a jet engine support

This project, carried out by students from the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Universidad de Concepción under the supervision of Professor Michel Ignat, uses CES Edu software to select the optimal material for the main casing of the engine support in a commercial aeroplane.

Material choices for Mars

This was a final year project by students at the University of Alberta under the direction of Professor Barry Patchett. The aim was to select the material for a space suit for conditions on Mars. It was accepted by the ASM Journals of Materials Engineering and Performance for publication in the April issue.
