By Air

Your airport choices for Cambridge are:

London Stansted Airport, which has flights to many UK and other European destinations, is 30 minutes drive to the south. A coach service runs hourly to Cambridge bus station. Direct trains run hourly to Cambridge train station. If you decide to drive, take the M11 (North) to Cambridge.

London's main airports are Heathrow and Gatwick.

London Heathrow is located west of London. To get to Cambridge:

  • Drive - around one-and-a-half hours (in clear traffic - but note that the route is very busy during rush hours). See driving details below.

  • Coach - the bus journey is around two-and-a-half hours. Details at the National Express website >>>

  • Train - take the Picadilly Line on the London Underground system from Heathrow to King's Cross station (around 45 mins journey). Then see below for more information on trains.

London Gatwick is located south of London. To get to Cambridge.

  • Drive - around 1 hour 45 minutes (in clear traffic - but note that the route is very busy during rush hours). Take the M23 (northbound) to the M25 then follow directions below.

  • Coach - the bus journey is around three-and-a-half hours. Details at the National Express website >>>

  • Train - take the train to London Victoria station or London Bridge station (approx 40 minutes) and then the London Underground to King's Cross station (around 10 mins). Then see below for more information on trains.

By Train

Cambridge Railway station is 10 minutes by taxi from the EduPack Symposium and Course venues.

Cambridge is about 55 minutes from London's King's Cross Station by train.

Cambridge trains also run to London Liverpool Street - average journey time being around 1 hr 15 mins.

Direct trains are also available to: Birmingham, Bury St Edmunds, Ely, Ipswich, King's Lynn, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Newmarket, Nottingham, Norwich, Peterborough and Sheffield. Change at Peterborough for: Doncaster, Leeds, York, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow.

By Road

From London and the airports

  • From west London / Heathrow, take the M25 motorway in a clockwise direction, leaving at junction 23 to join the A1 (M) motorway northbound. Leave at junction 9. Follow the A505 main road to Royston and then the A10 to Cambridge.

  • From east London / Gatwick, join the M25 motorway anticlockwise. You will pass through the Dartford tunnel (toll = £1). At junction 27 join the M11 motorway northbound to Cambridge.

From the north and west, Cambridge is accessible via the A14 main road, which connects to the A1(M), M1, and M6 motorways.
