Coatings Selection Project
Data and software to support the systematic, rational selection of coatings and coated materials
The selection of coatings and other surface treatments is a significant part of any materials decision in engineering. Your customers want better performance from your products in increasingly challenging environments. Legislation affecting the use of hazardous substances in coatings is becoming increasingly significant. And more and more coating solutions are available on the market.
This project will look at all aspects of coating selection, and seeks to develop databases and software tools to help manufacturing organizations make smarter coatings decisions which take into account engineering, environmental and financial objectives.
We welcome participants from all industries: the project may be particularly relevant to representatives of Materials & Process Engineering, New Product Development or Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) departments.
