The fact is that comprehensive polymer data can be extremely difficult to find. Most polymer datasheets are far from complete, containing only a few of the properties you require. This makes searching for the necessary information time-consuming and frustrating. When attempting to perform a selection using a software package, it is often the case that so many grades fail due to a lack of data that very few, if any, are actually left for consideration.
The complete solution
CES Polymer Selector overcomes these limitations by combining the broadest commercially available generic polymer database, Polymer MaterialUniverse, with the CAMPUS data module, containing 5,800 commercially available grades. The result is a two stage approach to optimal selection:
Stage1: The first stage of a selection is carried out on the PolymerUniverse, enabling the user to identify likely resin/filler possibilities. Because the database is complete, containing a full set of properties for each material, the selection is not hampered by incomplete datasheets. The user can include any of the 50+ properties and be sure that all materials are considered.
Using the ChemRes module, the user can also include chemical resistance requirements in the Stage 1 selection.
Stage 2: Having identified a shortlist of likely resin/filler systems, the user now moves seamlessly onto the CAMPUS data module to refine the selection and identify possible commercial grades. As well as single- and multi-point data for each grade, the user can also readily access detailed product information, processing details, and supplier information, including contact details.
