Moldflow Plastics

What is it? A link to the Moldflow software enabling users to see which plastic grades have the necessary data for Moldflow injection molding simulation.
What is in it? A record for each plastic grade for which the user can simulate injection molding using Moldflow's off-the-shelf simulation products—about 8,000 grades in all.
What is it used for? Selecting plastics that can be modeled using Moldflow.
Where does it come from? Through an agreement with Moldflow Corporation
How can I access it? Via the GRANTA MI materials information system—Modlflow is available within a plastics reference database that also includes the ChemRes, CAMPUS and IDES data. Within the CES Polymer Selector software—also integrated with other plastics data and ideal for materials selection.

The Granta Moldflow Data Module identifies around 8,000 plastic grades for which the user can simulate injecton molding using the Moldflow simulation software, which is now part of the Autodesk solution for digital prototyping. Combined with Granta's other plastics property data, this Moldflow can form part of a powerful systematic approach to polymer selection that allows you to rapidly and reliably identify the optimal polymer to meet multiple objectives.
