IDES Plastics

The IDES Plastics data module is by far the largest collection of ASTM datasheets and is regularly updated.

It contains 69,000 plastics property datasheets from over 2,400 resin suppliers including over 40,000 datasheets listing ASTM standard properties and over 8,000 datasheets listing ISO properties.

IDES is available as an option for all products including GRANTA MI, CES Polymer Selector, and CES EduPack (Polymer Edition)

IDES Plastics database - what can it do for me?

• Improve productivity by optimizing choices of material: Ashby methods of
  materials selection – charts, performance indices – can now be applied to
  the IDES data module. This is the only software that does this.
  
  
• Rationalize enterprise-wide management: Promote cost-reduction, procurement from preferred suppliers, and correct use of approved materials. It is now a simple matter to create a materials information system to suit corporate needs based on Granta's software and a tailored database in which IDES datasheets are one part.

Granta now provides the largest and most functional plastics IT system. Other plastics data sources include: CAMPUS Plastics (ISO datasheets), MIL-Handbook-17 (composites), PolymerUniverse (plastics selection), and Moldflow (grade information only).
