ASM Micrograph Center Online

ASM Micrograph Center Online has been developed specifically for reference and comparison of microstructures. This online collection enables individuals and companies to have access to a much broader array of representative microstructures than they could compile on their own. It is designed for anyone who works with materials, from metallography to all branches of engineering.

The initial release includes more than 3,000 images, at least 20% of which have never been published before. A substantial number of new images will be added each year.

Information captured for each image includes material designation and composition, processing history, service history, metallographic preparation and technique, magnification, significance of the structures shown, selected materials properties data.

The database is fully searchable, employing an extension of the interface developed by Granta for the ASM Alloy Center Online.
