Regular web-based CES Selector training sessions

All CES Selector users are invited to participate in regular, no-cost online training sessions. Held on alternate months, the hour-long sessions include presentations and practical demonstrations, followed by questions and answers with Granta experts.

Register just once for all upcoming sessions—when your registration has been approved, you will receive automated joining instructions from the email address webex@messenger.com in advance of each session. You may like to add this address to your 'safe senders' or 'white-list' to ensure that you always receive your user ID and password in your inbox. Feel free to invite your colleagues to register—they will also need their individual registration ID to be able to join the session.

Tuesday, Jan 9, 2018: Polymer data – how and when to apply the different polymer datasets in CES

This training session will give an overview of the polymer data available in the Polymer Edition of CES Selector, and show how it can be applied to address different types of material selection scenarios. This will cover:

  • Introduction to the different types of data available (e.g. manufacturers’ datasheets, specifications, design data, etc.)
  • Overview of the polymer data in CES Selector:
    • MaterialUniverse, including the ChemRes dataset from RAPRA
    • CAMPUS Plastics
    • M-Base Plastics and Applications
    • Prospector Plastics
  • Case study-based demonstrations showing how and when to apply the different data sets.
 

Held on the first Tuesday of alternate months, at:
  • 3pm UK time (London, Dublin)
  • 4pm CET (Paris, Berlin, Rome, etc.)
  • 10am Eastern US (New York)
  • 7am Pacific US (San Francisco)
