Key benefits

All of your materials data in one, searchable, resource—save time finding data

Avoid lost data and duplication of tests, re-use corporate materials knowledge

Save time in materials engineering

Traceability—ensure that any information can be traced back to original data sources

Control—guarantee data security, ensure the right data is delivered to the right people, and manage changing data effectively with version control

Eliminate errors by providing data to designers on their desktop, in the format that they require

What is the
GRANTA MI:Data Management Package?

What's new in GRANTA MI Version 6?

Search with material intelligence (see MI:Viewer), handle real materials data (see MI:Server), upload anywhere (see MI:Toolbox), easier administration (see MI:Admin).

The core package of GRANTA MI modules required for best practice materials data management.

You can build an integrated system, configured to your needs, to manage all of your proprietary materials data—from testing, QA, research, and beyond. The system fulfils the needs of the whole materials data lifecycle. Data from all relevant sources is captured in a central system (as illustrated below) where it can be analyzed and maintained. It can then be deployed via a range of tools for use by appropriately-authorized engineers.

Get the materials information that you need—from external references and diverse internal data sources

MI:Server This robust, scalable materials database system can be populated with your in-house materials data and with your choice of external reference information. Includes MI:Admin and MI:Server Manager.
MI:Viewer The core web browser-based user interface with tools to browse, query, report on, edit, import and export data to engineering software.
MI:Toolbox Windows application supporting higher-intensity import, export, and processing tasks.

Additional options to consider

MI:Materials Gateway If you need to access and apply data from within CAD, CAE and other third-party software.
MI:Metals Lab If you need to store and analyze metallic data in order to generate design allowables, particularly in aerospace, defense, and energy applications.
MI:Composites Lab A template database schema for composites and integrated composite data analysis using tools such as STAT-17

You can configure a system to meet your specific needs using the full range of GRANTA MI system modules and compatible data »
