Granta Opens New Headquarters

Granta Design celebrated the opening of its new corporate headquarters on July 15th, 2010. Over 150 employees, customers, collaborators, and friends of Granta gathered for a drinks reception, a tour of the refurbished and extended offices at Rustat House, Cambridge, and the chance to find out the latest information about Granta.

Granta's Managing Director, Dr David Cebon, spoke about the company's growth from small University startup to world-leader in the materials information technology niche, thanking the employees and customers who had made this possible. Chief Operating Officer, Dr Patrick Coulter, described the project to create the new headquarters and the more general challenges of supporting a rapidly growing business - he thanked the many suppliers and business services represented at the event. Finally, Granta founder and Chairman Professor Mike Ashby thanked key individuals and the whole Granta "family", before declaring the new offices offically open.

The event also provided an opportunity for attendees to see the latest Granta technology for managing materials information in industry, selecting materials, eco design, and materials education (pictured, left). And it was a great social occasion, with a chance to meet the Granta team and some of our many colleagues and friends (pictured, right)

Recruitment Open Evening

Granta is experiencing rapid growth and is recruiting for software engineers, materials experts, and sales and marketing staff.

There will also be a Recruitment Open Evening on July 28th, from 5pm-7pm, for anyone interested in applying for jobs at Granta.
