White Paper: SoftwareThat Works for Materials Engineers in
Aerospace, Defense, and Energy Sectors
GRANTA MI is the subject in a three-page ‘White
Paper’ article in the May issue of Advanced Materials & Processes (AM&P).
AM&P is the flagship journal of ASM International,
the world's largest society for professional materials
engineers.
Granta's Dr Will Marsden, the article's author, describes
GRANTA MI as a true materials information management system.
“The software is tailor-made to address the requirements
of materials engineering, comprising a comprehensive set
of specialist tools capable of managing workflow throughout
an organization.” |

A consortium of corporations and government agencies in the
aerospace, defense, and energy industries helped define GRANTA
MI. Members included Alcan Aerospace, Los Alamos National Labs,
NASA, Rolls-Royce, US Navy, and Williams International.
GRANTA MI has been available outside the consortium since May
2005 and will be formally launched at a reception at the AeroMat
2005 conference, Orlando, Florida, on Monday, 6 June 2005.
