MDMC welcomes Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

Cambridge, UK – March 22, 2016. The Material Data Management Consortium (MDMC) is delighted to welcome the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) as its latest member.

MDMC logoThe MDMC is a unique collaborative project, coordinated by Granta Design, that brings together an international group of leading engineering enterprises, with members including Boeing, Honeywell, NASA, and Rolls-Royce. It was founded in 2002 by materials-oriented corporations and government agencies and it focuses on developing and applying software to manage mission-critical materials data in the aerospace, defense, and energy sectors.

The Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, based in California, USA, is a multi-program national security laboratory. It has a mission of strengthening the United States’ security through the development and application of world-class science and technology.

The LLNL joins a strong contingent of Government laboratories and related agencies which are members of the MDMC, including Los Alamos National Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratories (all in the USA) and AWE (UK). These members benefit from the collaboration with each other on materials data management, and also from the industry collaboration, that MDMC brings.

The MDMC is continually open to new members. For more information about the consortium, visit
