Software Engineers (C++)

New projects have created a number of outstanding opportunities in our software team. You can play a central role in the development of an integrated portfolio of products within a successful specialist software company.

What you will be doing:

You will become part of our software engineering team, which is small enough that your contribution will be important and noticed.  You will work on our innovative  MI:Materials Gateway platform—linking the Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems used by hundreds of thousands of designers and analysts to GRANTA MI, the leading system for materials information management.


About you

We are looking for a long-term team member who will share our passion to see the company fulfil its enormous potential. Knowledge and experience in the materials domain is very welcome but not a requirement for this position.

You will definitely:

  • Have experience of object-oriented programming in C++
  • Have worked with cross-platform development technologies on Windows and LINUX, 32 and 64 bit
  • Have experience of XML technologies, including WSDL, XSD, SOAP
  • Have experience with one or more of C#, C, Perl, Python, Java

You should also:

  • Have a first class or upper second class honours degree in computer science, engineering, science, or maths from a recognized university (or overseas equivalent)
  • Be self-motivated, technically accomplished, a team-worker, and have a customer-focus

Knowledge and experience in the materials domain is very welcome but not a requirement for this position.
