Careers in Marketing and Sales

Granta is growing fast, and we need marketing and sales professionals to support this growth.

We sell highly technical products to users who are often experts in their domain, and we often need to work collaboratively with customers over long periods to understand their needs and ensure we deliver the right solutions to them.

We need people who are comfortable working in this environment:

• Sales and account management —understand customer needs, help customers to find a solution that meets those needs, and then work with them to ensure satisfaction. Our account managers and sales staff are typically either engineers with an interest in and aptitude for sales, or experienced sales professionals with a background in selling high technology products or complex software
• Product marketing—undertake market research and industry networking, understand customer requirements, specify and test products, promote and demonstrate products to potential clients, and then support customers. These activities require detailed domain knowledge and so are typically undertaken by a materials specialist or engineer with experience or aptitude for commercial activities
• Marketing communications and programs —these marketing staff typically have either a scientific/engineering background and aptitude for communications and presentation, or experience in marketing complex, niche, technical products
