Granta Design is a rapidly growing engineering software company. We are a spin-off from Cambridge University and a world-leader in our field. We now employ over 80 people at our Cambridge headquarters. We are looking for a marketing professional to provide maternity cover for our Marketing Programs & Channel Manager, who will be taking maternity leave from August. We are looking for part-time support equivalent to two or three days-per-week—we are very happy to discuss and be flexible about exact working hours and arrangements. The initial contract will be for six months.
What you will be doing:
You will help to plan and coordinate Granta's marketing campaigns and to provide marketing support for our international distributors.
Your role will include:
- Working with Granta product managers and sales team to determine which marketing programs we wish to run and to set targets for those programs.
- Creating project plans for each marketing program and working with product managers and the marketing communications team to ensure these are implemented.
- Working with agencies and suppliers to ensure delivery of services in support of marketing programs—for example, sourcing e-mail lists, briefing and monitoring telemarketing services.
- Maintaining regular contact with Granta's distributors, agents, and sales staff in countries including the US, Germany, Korea, and Japan. Identifying marketing support requirements and ensuring that these are met.
- Coordinating Granta's provision of international marketing materials (e.g., non-English language web pages)
About you
You definitely:
- Have experience of project management—ideally including implementation of marketing programs
- Are extremely well-organised, with excellent attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks
- Are energetic, committed, and enthusiastic
- Have good communication skills and work well in teams
- Are IT-literate, including experience using Microsoft Excel
You probably:
- Have a degree or other higher-level qualification
- Have professional experience in B-2-B marketing communications—ideally in a technical software, engineering, or scientific business environment
- Have experience of international business or marketing—language skills would be an advantage
What we can offer you:
- A great opportunity to gain business experience and work with a wide range of people on a varied and interesting set of tasks
- Flexibility in working arrangements
- A competitive salary
- A newly refurbished office close to Cambridge city centre and rail station—with parking and cycle racks
- A friendly and welcoming team!
