Granta Design leads the materials information technology market, experiencing year-on-year growth over the past 10 years with a unique product and great reputation.  NASA, Rolls Royce, Intel and many other industry leaders world-wide are using our software to go higher, lighter and greener;  and many 10s of thousands of students use our educational software every day as part of materials and architectural courses.

Our growing team now needs someone to help us in the following ways:

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for the ongoing development of specialist medical materials data products including the Medical Materials and Human Biological Materials data modules.
• Research and technical authoring of content including technical and biocompatibility information of biological and synthetic materials
• Database design and implementation; end-user demonstration and training
• Coordination with development partners, notably ASM and its advisory committee of industry experts
• Some travel for work with partners and customers

About you

You probably:

• Have an interest in the application of materials in short- and long-term implantable devices
• Enjoy reviewing and writing about scientific literature
• Have an appreciation for the application of materials property databases

You definitely:

• Have PhD or equivalent experience in medical materials and a bachelors degree in engineering or science
• Have good written English and abstracting skills from technical papers
• Have good computer skills, including advanced Excel skills
