Summer Vacation Projects—Marketing

Applications for these positions in 2009 have now closed.

Granta is offering two summer projects in our marketing department—only for students of mechanical engineering, materials science, or closely-related subjects.

The projects are ideal for students who have completed the 2nd or 3rd year of their course, and who have an interest in gaining business experience in a company that works in a field of relevance to their degrees.

Typical projects include:

• Preparing case study materials using Granta software
• Researching industry sectors and companies where Granta solutions may be of interest
• Assisting in the preparation of business plans.

This year, the projects will focus on the following areas: potential use of Granta software in eco design; materials selection case studies; use of Granta software in teaching engineering students.

Students need:

• A strong academic background in engineering or physical sciences
• Good written and verbal presentation skills
• To be self-motivated and well-organised

Projects are located in our Cambridge office. Positions are paid.

Please note that Granta cannot assist with accomodation or travel for these projects. They are ideal for a Cambridge University student or a UK student able to secure local accommodation for the summer.
