EDUCATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

£30-40k (base + commission) + non-contrib pension + health/gym + share options

Territory: Universities and colleges in North America and UK
Location: Cambridge, UK

An opportunity to apply your engineering/materials knowledge and to develop a business career with a rapidly growing, established Cambridge University spin-off. At Granta, we are the materials information technology experts. A spin-off from Cambridge University, we work with leading high tech and engineering organizations such as NASA, Rolls-Royce, GE, and Honeywell and support teaching at over 600 universities worldwide. Correctly approached, senior academics love what we do. It makes their teaching life easier, saves time, connects topics curriculum-wide, and engages students with the subject.

You could be part of the team that grows use of CES EduPack to even more universities and extends into more subject areas. Using the telephone, doing remote demonstrations over the web to intrigued senior academics, your first job is to show how their goals can be more easily met with EduPack, and to get them to use the product. Then, you must work collaboratively with customers to help them succeed and to identify and involve colleagues who can extend use of EduPack. You will apply and develop skills not just in “selling”, but in business strategy, communication with senior contacts, and long-term project work. There will be excellent opportunities for career advancement as the company grows.
