Channel Sales Manager
(Japan, S. Korea, China)

Granta Design leads the materials information technology market, experiencing year-on-year growth over the past 10 years with a unique product and great reputation. NASA, Boeing, Rolls-Royce and many other industry leaders world-wide are using our software to go higher, lighter and greener.
To date, Granta has built its business successfully in Europe and North America. We now wish to appoint a new Channel Sales Manager to build its Asian business. Based in Cambridge, UK we are looking for candidates with experience of finding, recruiting, supporting, motivating, and managing distributors, particularly in Japan, China, and South Korea.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and experience, working with some of the most important Asian companies, and can lead to progression in a number of directions within the company.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the development and management of distribution and customer relationships in Asia
- Providing a clear and precise channel of communications for distributors, supporting them in their marketing and sales activities, and acting as a liaison with the rest of the Granta team
- Ensuring that all customer queries, both technical and non-technical, are answered
- Development and monitoring of annual plans for each distributor and for specific accounts
- Tactical support with quotations and contracts
- Maintaining and building our database of customers and prospective customers
- Travelling regularly overseas, particularly within Asia
About You
You will definitely:
- Be fluent in Japanese or Mandarin/Cantonese
- Have a good track record in sales or business development
- Be experienced in identifying, developing and managing new business, channel distributions and networks
- Have excellent communication and organization skills and an ethical and professional manner
- Have a good understanding of engineering, materials or science
- Be able to prioritize and able to work with minimal supervision
You will probably:
- Have business experience with customers and/or distributors in Japan, China and/or South Korea
- Have a background in engineering or technical software
- Have some familiarity with larger industrial enterprises (aerospace, defense, energy and manufacturing)
