CE100 Events

Granta Design is a member of the Circular Economy 100 (CE100) programme. This group of leading companies, universities, and emerging innovators, coordinated by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, is developing new approaches and tools that can lead the transition to a 'circular economy'. A circular economy is one that is restorative by intention; aims to rely on renewable energy; minimises the use of toxic chemicals; and eradicates waste through careful design. Decisions about materials will be central to realising this vision. Granta are natural CE100 partners, as the leaders in software and information resources to aid materials decisions during product design and development. Granta are working with several other CE100 members through the LIFE+ Circular Economy Metrics project to define a methodology for quantifying circularity at the product and company levels.

We'll be attending the following CE100 events.

CE100 Acceleration Workshop, Copenhagen, April 29, 2015

Granta will be participating in an elective session on Circularity Indicators, discussing the work completed as part of the LIFE+ collaborative project on developing product-level indicators for circularity, which can be used to inform product design. We'll also be explaining the opportunity for CE100 members to participate in a free trial of the MI:Product Intelligence software that incorporates this indicator.

CE100 Annual Meeting, London, June 25, 2015

Granta will also attend the CE100 Annual Meeting in London, where we will again be discussing progress on the LIFE+ project and associated software trial.
