CES EduPack—Information for Student Users

CES EduPack is a package of resources to support the teaching of materials in engineering, science, processing, and design. At the heart of the EduPack is the CES EduPack software and its accompanying information resources. If you are a user of the software, we hope that you are finding its use enjoyable and informative.

How we support and license CES EduPack

CES EduPack is licensed directly to universities for use with specific courses. There are a range of licensing options, including options that allow every student on the course to install the software directly on their laptops. There are also a range of optional features and databases, as explained in this information on CES EduPack editions.

Please note that we can only deal directly with university faculty (e.g., lecturers, professors, heads of department, or their support staff) in discussing CES EduPack and options for its use. This limitation enables Granta to provide effective support and service to hundreds of institutions worldwide. So, if you would like to use additional options or install the software on additional computers, please discuss this with the member of your academic staff responsible for your EduPack license.

CES EduPack can support a wide range of courses. If you would like to use it on a course or course module for which it is not currently licensed, please discuss this with the relevant member of your academic staff—we would be very happy to provide them with options to extend license.

Industry links

Granta software is widely used in industry, at organizations like Boeing, EADS Astrium, NASA, Rolls-Royce, Renault F1, Emerson Electric, and GE. The CES Selector software is an advanced industrial version of the materials selection software available within CES EduPack. Our GRANTA MI software helps engineering enterprises to manage and apply the large quantities of materials-related data that they generate or require in areas such as testing, design, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
