What do you get with CES EduPack?
CES EduPack software The software allows you to browse and search information in CES EduPack databases (see below) and to ‘drill down’ to science note information explaining the fundamental science. You can apply a structured methodology to compare materials and processes and select them for engineering applications, creating and using materials selection charts. An Eco Audit Tool helps you to explore key concepts in eco design, with the Enhanced Eco Audit Tool providing additional features for advanced teaching and research. The innovative Hybrid Synthesizer allows students to investigate the benefits of using hybrid materials. The complete system is easy-to-use, highly visual, and engaging. |

CES EduPack information resources Within the CES EduPack software is a unique database providing comprehensive information on the technical and economic properties of materials and processes. Integrated ‘science notes’ explain the underlying materials science. Specialist versions extend coverage to topics such as polymers, aerospace, nuclear engineering and low carbon power systems, architecture, and bio materials. Links to external Internet resources support in-depth research. |

Teaching resources Granta's Teaching Resources Website contains over 200 separate resources for materials teaching across engineering, design and science. They are primarily aimed at undergraduate teaching and have been created by Professor Mike Ashby, Granta Design, and contributed by faculty from the more than 800 universities and colleges that use CES EduPack worldwide. Some resources are open access, others are there to support CES EduPack users and are available via a password. Resources include:

Textbooks CES EduPack is used with leading textbooks across a wide range of subject areas and teaching approaches. CES EduPack information resources provide specific cross-references to texts by Ashby, Ashby & Jones, Callister, Budinski and Budinski, Askeland and Phulé, and Shackelford. The range of books by Professor Mike Ashby support an extra level of integrated learning—for example, by including student exercises that use the EduPack software. An instructor copy of the most appropriate Ashby book is provided with every EduPack purchase. |
