Materials and Processes Database

The Materials and Processes Database is just one resource within CES EduPack. It provides general property and process information on the complete world of engineering materials

The following screenshots demonstrate the transition from Level 1 information, providing an introduction to the 'world' of materials and process for introductory level students, through Level 2, offering a structured methodology for the more in-depth investigations intermediate level students, to Level 3, which provides the full materials process database as used in industry, with added design notes, suitable for advanced/graduate students.

A key feature of the database is that every property is populated for all of the materials at each level, ensuring that valid comparisons and material selection exercises can be completed across the full range of materials. Most materials databases fail in this regard, owing to 'holes' in the data.
