Polymer Edition
The CES EduPack Polymer Edition provides the features, functionality, and data included in the Standard Edition with the addition of two leading specialist reference data sources for polymeric materials. The Materials & Processes Level 3 Database has enhanced data on polymeric materials, with the addition of chemical resistance data.
Key Features
Software for browsing, searching, and selecting materials, and the Eco Audit Tool. Access to the Hybrid Synthesizer (an easy-to-use predictive tool that helps students investigate the effects of using hybrid materials and structures) to explore the potential properties of new materials
Teaching resources—access to the Granta Teaching Resources website.
Your choice of instructor's textbook: Materials: Engineering, Science, Processing, and Design or Materials Selection in Mechanical Design
Information resources—two levels of the general Materials and Processes Database, plus science notes and the Elements database. Access to a large number of polymer materials:
Level 3 Polymers Database
- Includes the standard Level 3 database, enabling comparison of polymeric materials against metals, ceramics, and composites
- Includes extra properties for over 790 types of elastomer and polymer materials
- Includes chemical resistance data (ChemRes) detailing the resistance of elastomer and polymer materials to >190 different chemical and solvent environments
- Equivalent to the Polymer MaterialUniverse product for industry (more information)
CAMPUS Plastics
- Commercial data module containing data on over 6000 plastic resin grades from ~20 leading vendors.
- All data is measured according to strict CAMPUS ISO standards
- More information in the industrial section of this website »
IDES Plastics
- Commercial data module containing data on nearly 80,000 plastics property datasheets from 725 manufacturers
- Includes data on specialist grades
- Includes most north American and European producers
