Welcome to the CES EduPack community resource page.

CES EduPack is now used at over 700 universities and colleges worldwide. This section helps you to participate in that community and to get maximum benefit from CES EduPack. Download teaching resources, provide feedback to tell us what you want to see in next year's version, share resources, and get hints, tips, and support.

Download EduPack teaching resources

PowerPoint lectures, white papers, student projects and exercises, sample selection charts, getting started guides for the EduPack software, and more can be downloaded here. These are available to professors and lecturers at user institutions, requiring a registered e-mail address and password.

What's new in CES EduPack 2010?

The latest release provides some great new capabilities for both new and existing users. For example, a number of new features will aid the use of EduPack in project work, while a new Nuclear Power Edition (pictured) widens support for interdisciplinary teaching. Other enhancements include: video tutorials to help students and academics get started with EduPack, more for courses on sustainability and energy, many usability improvements, and a new Spanish language edition.

The effective development of the CES EduPack software and resources depends on close collaboration between Granta Design and EduPack users. We are very grateful for any feedback or suggestions that you can provide. You can give input directly to your Granta representative, at events such as those outlined below, via the "Submit Feature Request" button in the main menu of the CES EduPack software (right), or using this form >>>.

Another way to participate is to share your lectures, project files, or exercises with other EduPack users via this website. Contact us if you have resources you would like to share.

 

Hints & tips - the CES EduPack Bulletin

The quarterly CES EduPack Bulletin is available to anyone with an interest in materials education - simply register to receive it. It provides hints and tips for using CES EduPack as well as sample teaching resources for free download, teaching case studies, hints and tips for users, and the latest EduPack news.

CES EduPack documentation

Extensive documentation and background information for CES EduPack is provided through the CES Help utility within the EduPack software. CES Help is accessible from the "Help" menu item or using the CES Help icon on the toolbar (shown, below).

New in CES EduPack 2010 - the CES Help system includes video tutorials.

A user manual is also provided with the software, and release notes and a Getting Started Guide can be downloaded from the teaching resources area.

 

Advanced teaching and research

Did you know? CES EduPack information resources also support advanced teaching and research via links to in-depth information from organizations such as ASM International, The Welding Institute, the UK National Physical Laboratory (NPL), and the National Institute of Materials (NIMS) in Japan.
