CES EduPack is the world-leading teaching resource for materials in engineering, science, processing, and design. CES EduPack is updated each year, with software and database enhancements and new supporting resources reflecting input and feedback from the community of CES EduPack users at over 700 universities and colleges worldwide. This web seminar will introduce the latest version, CES EduPack 2010, released at the end of January.

What you will see

An overview of CES EduPack and its use to support a wide range of courses at hundreds of universities worldwide. An outline of the new features in CES EduPack 2010, including enhancements to enable:

  • More effective project work - for example, through the ability to add your own materials to CES EduPack property charts

  • Teaching of sustainability - a new Sustainability & the Built Environment Edition and an updated Eco Audit Tool

  • Teaching of nuclear engineering - a new Nuclear Power Systems Edition

  • Interdisciplinary teaching – CES EduPack now covers more subjects across the engineering curiculum (see the list under "Who should attend?", below)

  • Getting started – new video tutorials help students to learn the CES EduPack software quickly and with minimial support

Who should attend?

Professors, Lecturers, and Program Directors of university and college courses related to materials and manufacturing. Such courses will be in areas including: civil engineering; mechanical engineering; eco engineering; architecture; manufacturing; production engineering; nuclear engineering; and materials science and materials engineering. The event will be suitable both for existing users wishing to see the latest enhancements, and educators assessing CES EduPack for use in their course.
